Middlewood and Lakeland

Total Care consists of six individual units within the home. Each unit  has its own identity with a purpose to provide tailored, focused care and support by a dedicated team of specialised nursing and care staff.

Middlewood & Lakeland

Middlewood and Lakeland support residents who need long term care but in addition, also offers short stay respite breaks for clients aged 65 years and over when rooms available. Qualified nursing staff are experienced in the specialised skills needed for long term and end-of-life care supporting residents and their families alike. Care staff are trained on-site at Total Care.
All rooms on both units are for single occupancy with washing facilities. All rooms are fully furnished, and include a television, telephone and nurse-call system. Bathrooms and toilets are located on corridors and near lounge areas. Bath and shower rooms are fully adapted so that any resident can be assisted when using these facilities.
Bedroom for Lakeland
The spacious lounge and dining areas open out into a sheltered garden which is accessible only from within the building. There are various other seating areas including a cosy lounge with television and indoor gardens. In addition, two conservatories provide for quiet time spent away from a resident’s room – one conservatory includes a library with a variety of books in standard and large print. The second conservatory hosts a weekly visit from a hairdresser for which the unit manager co-ordinates an appointment system.
On admission to either Middlewood or Lakeland, residents are assigned a named nurse and the team of care staff will provide personal introductions.
